Background:

Tom Saywer Effect worked with Kent County Council to create the video ‘Know Your Rights: Think Before You Buy’ which was seeded online to secure coverage and drive views and traffic to www.kent.gov.uk/thinkbeforeyoubuy

Objective:

The video and images were seeded online to secure coverage. YouTube promotion was also used to increase views.

Strategy:

Student, Kent, Lego and Web culture and websites were contacted and asked to embed the video and images.

Results:

  • 10 pieces of coverage secured
  • 9 Tweets reaching over 179k followers
  • 4 Facebook shares to over 6k fans
